LYMM Squash Club is on the up after the 1st team won Division 4, securing promotion to Division 3 for the first time in a long time!
In addition to the league performance, the club based at Lymm Rugby Club, has taken a number of steps to grow and improve the squash club over the last 6 months.
The club has had its first ever season with a dedicated Racketball (Squash 57) team in the regional leagues. While they finished bottom of the league they picked up a few victories in their maiden season.
It was also the first season that Lymm entered three teams in the leagues for a fair number of years. Two teams in Division 4, which the firsts won and one in division 5.
The courts have also undergone significant renovation over the last two years, with floors sanded, new heaters and lighting being installed before finally being completed in January this year, with the courts repainted.
All this has resulted in membership numbers doubling over the last 12 months and the introduction of a new digital court booking system.
A new committee was appointed 12 months ago who have overseen these changes.
The club has also recently entered into a partnership with Squash+ to provide junior and adult coaching at the club. They now have two junior age groups running every Friday and 1-2-1 or group adult training available to book.
