On a bright, sunny day, golfers from all over Cheshire enjoyed a competitive round of golf at Lymm Golf Club at the re-launched Lymm RFC Charity Golf Day.
This revived event, after a ten year hiatus, was 4 x Ball Stableford competition, involving a full-house of 22 teams, and won by a team led by Ian Goodman scoring 93 points.
Many local businesses got involved as hole sponsors and help raise over £6k for the registered charity Lymm RFC.
Chairman of the rugby club David Simpson was delighted with the day. ‘The course was in great condition, the organisation superb and we all had a great time.
‘I’d particularly like to thank all the sponsors who contributed to make this day so successful.
‘I hope we can now make this an annual event and add it to our portfolio of successful fundraising events,’ he concluded.
