CCTV images released following shoplifting at Golden Square

Officers investigating an incident of shoplifting in Warrington have released CCTV images of two people they’d like to speak to.

On Monday 20 April, officers in Warrington were alerted to reports of shoplifting at the Footasylum store in the Golden Square Shopping Centre.
It was reported that between 1.57pm and 2.09pm, two unknown people, a man and a woman, entered the store and made off with items of clothing without making any attempt to pay.
It was estimated that approximately £900 worth of clothing was stolen.
As part of enquiries to fully establish the circumstances surrounding the incident, officers have now released CCTV images of two people they would like to speak to.
It is believed they hold vital information in connection to the incident.

Tina Jackson, of the Northern Crime Hub said: “Officers have been conducting a number of enquiries to fully establish what has taken place here and, as part of those enquiries, we have now released two CCTV images of two people we are keen to speak to.
“I would like to ask anyone who recognises either of these two people to please get in touch with officers.
“As well as this, I also like to take this opportunity to appeal to the two people pictured to get in touch with us also.”
