LOCAL bands and musicians came together for a weekend of live music entitled “FinnyFest” to help raise funds for a six-year-old boy from Orford, Warrington, with a rare lung condition.
Porters Resurrection in Warrington hosted a two-day “FinnyFest” fundraiser over the Bank Holiday weekend to support six-year-old Finny, who is battling a rare Interstitial Lung Disease.
The event, held at Porters Ale House, was to raise funds for oxygen equipment and create lasting memories, featuring live music from local bands including Recut, Jonny Foreigner and The Windmills.
Event organiser Mark Moran said: ” THANKYOU to everyone who came this weekend, the bands that played, the DJ that hosted, the guys who did the BBQ, the staff that pulled it out the bag and everyone who donated and shared our little festival far and wide.
“Such a lovely weekend that’s definitely got Porters feeling more like it used to and we’ve raised loads of money for charity too!”
