FIREFIGHTERS helped release a trapped casualty following a two-vehicle collision, which resulted in a road closure at Orford Green, Warrington, last night, Saturday.
At 21:38, two fire engines from Warrington and Lymm attended the scene of the collision near Poplars Avenue off Winwick Road.
Emergency services, including police, fire and ambulance, attended the scene following reports of one person trapped. Police closed the road to allow firefighters to safely rescue the person from the vehicle.
Firefighters removed the roof of one of the vehicles to release a casualty.
The casualty was successfully released from their vehicle and taken to hospital by ambulance. Two further people involved in the collision were also taken by ambulance to hospital for precautionary checks.
