Warrington-based community group Helping Hands Changing Lives CIC marked St George’s Day in style, hosting a sell-out event attended by more than 140 local residents at the Tetley Walker Club.

Guests enjoyed a buffet-style lunch alongside live entertainment from popular performer Eddie Matrix, creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere for all in attendance.
Volunteers worked tirelessly behind the scenes, arriving early in the morning to decorate the venue and prepare food, ensuring the day ran smoothly from start to finish.
During the interval, guests took part in a range of classic games including bingo, Play Your Cards Right, and Open the Box, with a variety of cash prizes adding to the excitement.
The committee of Helping Hands Changing Lives CIC extended their thanks to Tetley Walkers for providing the venue, as well as to the dedicated team of volunteers whose hard work made the event possible.
Carol Kilgannon, Chairman of Helping Hands Changing Lives CIC, said: “We only charged £2 per person today so that it was affordable for everyone who wished to attend. It’s important to us that no one in our community feels excluded from events like this.”
Helping Hands Changing Lives CIC is a community-focused organisation dedicated to supporting local residents through inclusive events, social activities, and outreach initiatives aimed at improving wellbeing and reducing isolation
