Last month, saw the HyNet team attend careers events all across the region, raising awareness of the project, its exciting job opportunities and providing guidance on how to secure a role connected to the project.
At events from Warrington, to Liverpool to Wrexham, 4,000 young people and the public have passed through the door, with the new Capture Your Potential careers guide and videos on show.
The HyNet team were delighted to be joined by colleagues at EET Fuels, Encirc Glass, United Living, other contractors and education providers, making each session highly beneficial for those coming along to find routes into industry.
Region to benefit from clean energy jobs funding
Alongside the Government’s recently published Clean Energy Jobs Plan, two initiatives to ensure the region has the right skilled people to deliver the energy transition have been started.
Cogent Skills are running the Hydrogen & Carbon Capture Skills Accelerator, targeting the long-term roles generated by HyNet projects.
Meanwhile, Enterprise Cheshire & Warrington are rolling-out a programme of funded short courses to upskill employees.
