SEVERE delays were reported on the M6 at Warrington this afternoon (Thursday) following a two-vehicle collision which resulted in serious damage to the central reservation.
Fortunately no serious injuries were reported following the collision at around 2pm today, Thursday.
The collision occurred on the Southbound carriageway between junction 21, Warrington, and junction 20, Lymm and involved a lorry and a car.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Police said: “Police were called to a collision involving a HGV and a car on the M6 southbound between junction 21 and 20.
“All are out of the vehicles. One woman is believed to have a minor injury.”
While three of four lanes have re-opened National Highways has confirmed that lane four between junction 21 and 20 will remain closed overnight to allow emergency barrier repair work to take place.
