Officers investigating reports of an assault on a woman walking a dog in Orford Park, Warrington, are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
Sometime between 1.45pm and 2.15pm on Sunday 5 October, it was reported that a 64-year-old woman had been assaulted while walking her dog in Orford Park by a man and woman.
The man and woman were in the park with a young child at the time of the incident.
During the incident, the victim was knocked unconscious and left with bruising to her head. She also sustained a broken hip as a result.
As part of ongoing enquiries, officers are appealing for any potential witnesses to contact them.
DC Rebecca Jubb said: “Our investigation into this incident is ongoing and we are now appealing for any witnesses to get in touch with us.
“The same goes for anyone who may have any footage of the incident or any areas which border the park.”
