A 20-year-old man is in hospital after suffering life-changing injuries during a work-related incident on Wash Lane, Latchford, Warrington, earlier today, Monday.
Wash Lane remained closed throughout the afternoon as the Health and safety Executive attended at the scene.
Emergency services attended at the scene shortly before mid-day.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Police said: “At 11.50am on Monday 20 October, police were called to reports of a workplace injury on Wash Lane.
“Officers attended and found that a 20-year-old man had sustained serious injuries to his arm.
“The man was taken to Aintree hospital by land ambulance, his injuries are described as life changing.
“The incident has been referred to the Health and Safety Executive.”
UPDATE: The road eventually re-opened at 6pm.
