WARRINGTON North MP Charlotte Nichols recently joined Warrington Masters Swimming Club at the Orford Jubilee Hub ahead of the Swim England Masters National Championship, which will take place in Sheffield this month.

Warrington Masters Swimming Club is a competitive swimming club dedicated for swimmers over the age of eighteen. Its aim is to promote participation in the sport and be successful at Masters swimming competitions, including both pool-based and open water events. They train five times a week in swimming pools across Warrington.

The club swimmers have National, European and World Records. This summer Andrew Bennett and Spencer Glover travelled to Singapore to take part in the World Championships, and both placed in global top ten for their performances.
Charlotte said: “If you’re an ex-swimmer or someone hoping to take your training to the next level, Warrington Masters Swimming Club can help you achieve your goals. In the pool there was a wide spread of abilities from those competing at national and international levels for their age category through to me.
“I used to compete when I was in my teens, but its been a long time since I’ve done much more than a social swim or the occasional open water event, so had to dig deep to get through the full session! Swimming is such a great form of exercise that’s low impact on your joints but gets every muscle group going, and is a fantastic way top look after your physical and mental wellbeing.”
