Warrington’s Own Buses has celebrated a double success after receiving top honours at two major industry award ceremonies in London.
The company was named the Winner of the Best Fleet Electrification Initiative at the prestigious EVIE (Electric Vehicle Innovation & Excellence) Awards, recognising its bold and successful transition to an all-electric bus fleet. On the same evening, Warrington’s Own Buses was also Highly Commended in the Exemplary Contribution to Net Zero category at the National Transport Awards.
These accolades highlight Warrington’s Own Buses’ commitment to delivering cleaner, greener and more sustainable transport for the town. The company completed the rollout of its all-electric fleets earlier this year, supported by investment from the Department of Transport’s Zero Emission Bus Regional Areas (ZEBRA) scheme and Warrington Borough Council, making Warrington one of the first towns in the UK to electrify its bus network fully.
