Firefighters called out after trees fall on to houses at Birchwood and Lymm

FIREFIGHTERS were called out after trees fell onto houses at Birchwood and Lymm, Warrington, during Storm Amy.

At 11:54 one crew from Birchwood attended at the property on Dunnock Grove, Birchwood.

A tree in the rear garden of a property on Dunnock Grove fell onto the roof of a neighbouring home, loosening roof tiles and damaging guttering.
Firefighters set up a safety cordon before carrying out an assessment, which included checks inside the roof space of one of the properties.
There was no report of any injuries.
Earlier in the day at 7:33 one crew attended a property on Bucklow Gardens, Lymm, after a tree fell onto the side of a semi-detached property, causing minor damage to roof tiles.
A safety cordon was established while crews used cutting tools to remove branches and carried out an inspection of the property. The occupier was then allowed to safely re-enter the home.
