UP to six weeks of road and footpath closures will come into force in the Chapelford and Old Hall areas of Warrington from August 4th for surfacing works.
Restrictions will be in place between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm with local diversions in place.
Warrington Borough Council has given notice it intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which will be to introduce the following:
Prohibition of Driving & Clearway: Hudson Close for its entire length; Livingstone Close for its entire length; Twenty Acre Road from the junction with Morton Close to the junction with Tasman Close; Westbrook Crescent from the junction with Blackshaw Drive/Westbrook Centre to the junction with Westbrook Way.
The Order will be effective from 4th August 2025. The restrictions are for a period of 6 weeks, between 8:30am and 5:30pm, however, will be in place as and when signed on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works. The alternative routes will be as follows: Twenty Acre Road via Cromwell Avenue and vice versa; Westbrook Crescent via Westbrook Way, Cromwell Avenue and vice versa. The restrictions are required for road or footway surfacing.
