A number of road closures will be in place in and around Lymm village centre this Saturday, (July 5) for the annual Lymm May Queen parade.
Closures will be in place from 11.30am until 2pm while the parade passes through the village centre to the Lymm May Queen Field off Pepper Street.
Warrington Borough Council has made an order that, on the occasion of the above mentioned events, no cart, carriage, motor car, lorry or other vehicle (excepting vehicles taking part in the event, Police, Ambulance and Fire Service vehicles and Mail Carts) and no horses or other animal be allowed to remain in or travel along or over any of the undermentioned streets on Saturday 5th July 2025 as follows:
Between the hours of 11:00 am and 12:30 pm on Saturday 5 July 2025:
Brookfield Road Whitbarrow Road to Eagle Brow
Between the hours of 11:30 am and 2:00 pm on Saturday 5 July 2025:
Eagle Brow Brookfield Road to The Cross
The Cross Eagle Brow to Lymm Bridge
Lymm Bridge The Cross to New Road
New Road Lymm Bridge to Dane Bank Road East
Pepper Street The Cross to Crossfield Avenue
Rectory Lane Rectory Gardens to Pepper Street
Bridgewater Street
Bicycles and Tricycles are included in the term “vehicle” and must not be ridden through any of the above streets during the hours specified. Any person willfully acting in contravention of the above order will be liable to a penalty not exceeding £400.
Vehicular access to premises will only be permitted under the guidance of the organisers.
An alternative route of Whitbarrow Road, Warrington Road, Camsley Lane and Booths Hill Road will be signed on site
Pedestrian and emergency routes will be maintained.
