WARRINGTON kept up the pressure on league leaders Heaton Mersey in the Cheshire County League division three.

Batting first at Oakmere, they hit 178-9 before bowling out the home side for 146 to claim victory.
They were helped by a fine all-round performance from A Ali, who first top-scored with 57 and then took 4-23 as Oakmere were dismissed.
Harley Barratt hit 35 and B Andrews took 4-27.

Sadly, Grappenhall’s dismal form in division one continued as they were beaten by 105 runs by Bramhall.
Ben Bravington was the pick of Grappers’ bowlers with 3-34 but Bramhall’s 195-9 was a tough ask for a young side struggling for form.
