PLAIN clothes officers ran to the assistance of a police sergeant arresting a suspected drug dealer in Warrington town centre.
The incident took place yesterday, Friday, morning when plain clothes were seen running towards Palmyra Square.
This was to assist the Sergeant who had detained a male. When the male was searched, evidence of drug dealing was found which lead to his arrest. He was arrfested and taken into custody for interview.
Officers from the Town Centre Beat Team often work in plain clothes and are assisted by CCTV in order to make Warrington a hostile place for criminals.
