STAFF and students from the University of Chester are joining with a range of organisations to offer a choice of free activities as part of this year’s Warrington Pride celebrations.
Everyone is invited to enjoy talks and wider activities, from arts and crafts and creating flags to postcard poetry and zine making, at the University’s Time Square building, during Warrington Pride next Saturday, June 14.
Events will run from 9.30 am to 5 pm, with the first talk on ‘Inclusive Smear Testing: Creating Affirming Care for the LGBTQ+ community’ being held from 1.30 pm to 2.15 pm. A second talk, ‘Breaking Down Societal Barriers: From Sexuality to Disability’ will be presented from 2.30 pm to 3.15 pm.
Professor Hannah Bacon, lead organiser, said: “We’re delighted to play a key role in Warrington Pride again and offer opportunities to meet new people, listen to personal stories, join important conversations, as well as get creative – and parade ready. We look forward to welcoming everyone.”
People are invited to drop into the creative sessions throughout the day and are just asked to reserve a free place for the talks. To book a place and find out more about the talks, please visit: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/1323652493239
