APPLETON Cricket Club has announced two exciting new partnerships reinforcing their reputation as a thriving, community-driven club that welcomes players of all levels and offers businesses a fantastic opportunity for brand exposure.

The club’s newest partners are Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) and Firecrest Cricket.
Appleton Cricket Club is proud to support Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY), a charity dedicated to preventing sudden cardiac deaths among young people. The CRY logo will take pride of place on the club’s new playing shirts, helping to raise awareness of this vital cause. The club has forgone traditional sponsorship revenue in order to increase community engagement and attract businesses eager to align with a club that values social responsibility. Additionally, Appleton hope to support future screenings in the local area and provide the opportunity for all of their young members to attend a screening.
Appleton’s Phil Jackson, a player at the club for over 20 years and leader of this initiative said: “As a club with a strong sense of community and a thriving junior section it’s great to be able to spread the word about the work of this great charity on our new kit provided by Firecrest. Our club has sadly felt the effect of the sudden passing of a young player to this cause and we would all like this partnership to encourage as many young people as possible to get their heart screened. We are proud to represent CRY.”

The club is also delighted to welcome Firecrest Cricket as their official supplier of playing and training kit. A family-run business based in Northwich, Firecrest was founded by father-and-son duo Tim and Toby Mullins. Specialising in high-quality cricket clothing and equipment, including handcrafted bats made right here in Cheshire. Firecrest Cricket embodies the same commitment to excellence and local pride that defines Appleton Cricket Club.
After admiring the Firecrest produced, CRY branded shirts, CRY’s representative for Cheshire, Deborah Dixon said: “The partnership will help raise vital awareness of the charity that aims to ensure every young adult heart is safe”.
