VIDEO: A large seal was spotted enjoying the sunshine in Sankey Brook by a local mum walking her children home from school.
The large grey seal was captured on video by local mum Hayley Dutton as her excited children watched on as they were walking through Sankey Valley Park.
Hayley shared her video on facebook generating great interest including from members of the Sankey Canal Restoration Society who shared the footage.
While quite a rare sighting in Sankey Brook, grey seals are seen on a fairly regular basis on the River Mersey.
