FIREFIGHTERS from Warrington dealt with a deep-seated blaze in a wooded area off Europa Boulevard.
The fire involved an area of about 10 metres square and firefighters used water from backpacks to extinguish it.
Ihn another incident, a crew from Warrington used a hose reel jet to tackle a grass fire off Northwich Road, Lower Stretton.
