POLICE are appealing for witnesses and video footage following a serious road crash in Warrington.
Shortly before 7.15am on Wednesday, police were called to a collision near to the junction of Southworth Lane and Delph Lane in Winwick.
Officers attended and found there had been a collision between a silver Peugeot 208 and a blue Ford Fiesta.
The driver of the Peugeot, an 86-year-old local man, suffered serious injuries as a result of the collision. He was taken to the Royal Salford Hospital where he remains at this time.
The driver of the Fiesta, a 60-year-old man from Widnes, was also injured during the incident, he was taken to Warrington Hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life changing.
Enquiries in relation to the collision are ongoing and officers are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident, or anyone with any dashcam footage which may aid the investigation.
