WARRINGTON Wolves has announced a new partnership with Warrington’s Own Buses, making them the club’s official travel partner.

As a key part of the community, Warrington’s Own Buses shares the club’s passion for the town and the club’s supporters.

An end-of-season survey showed that 20% of Warrington Wolves’ fans are using the town’s buses to get to home matches at The Halliwell Jones Stadium – a 50% increase since 2019.
As part of the partnership, the club encourages fans to utilise public transport on match days. Keep an eye out for the club’s branding on buses this season.
Warrington Wolves CEO Karl Fitzpatrick said: “We’re thrilled to partner with Warrington’s Own Buses and encourage our supporters to take advantage of their services on matchdays this season.
“We look forward to working together and making travel more convenient for the Wire family.”
Ben Wakerley, Managing Director of Warrington’s Own Buses, said: “We have always been fans of Warrington Wolves and so this exciting new partnership takes it to the next level. Here’s to a great season ahead.”
Warrington Borough Council has capped bus fares of £2 for all adult single journeys and £1 for all single journeys made by under 22’s.
First launched in 2022, as part of Warrington’s Better by Bus programme, the low fares have proved to be extremely popular with passengers – and they are now continuing until at least the end of 2025, despite January’s national fare cap increase from £2 to £3. The council is now carrying out further work to explore keeping low fares in place in 2026 and beyond.
