SECOND-half goals from George Waring and Jake Daniels secured a 0–2 win for Warrington Rylands on a cold Tuesday evening at Prescot Cables.
Moving up to 8th in the league table and closer to the play-off places Rylands controlled the game from start to finish.
Nearly 600 spectators braved the elements to cheer on their side at Valerie Park but the home supporters were disappointed after just 30 minutes when Kyle Sambor was shown a red card for an off-the-ball incident. They held back the sustained pressure of Rylands for the remainder of the half.

The Blues showed no mercy to the weakened side making repeated attacks on the Cables goal. The breakthrough came 6 minutes into the second half. Alex Kiwomya made one of his speedy runs down the left and his goal line cross met George Waring who tapped it past Calvin Hare.
Cables didn’t just lie down, however, and made a valiant attempt to find an equaliser.
With 5 minutes remaining, Warrington kept recycling the ball around the 18-yard box. Jake Daniels took possession on the left, cut inside and beat Hare from a distance to put the match to bed.
Next up, Warrington Rylands make the long journey to County Durham on Saturday 8th February, where Stockton Town await them. Stockton Town, who sit just three places above Warrington, will be hoping to hold on to their position in the play-off sector.
