Van driver taken to hospital with serious injuries after vehicle collides with wall

A van driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries after the vehicle he was driving collided with a wall near the old Mr Smith’s site in Warrington, earlier today, Friday.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them.

Emergency services, including one fire crew from Penketh attended at the scene. The crew supported paramedics with one casualty, who was taken to hospital by ambulance.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: “At 12.50 pm today police were called to Wilson Patten Street in Warrington following reports that a van had collided with a wall near the old Mr Smith’s.
“The driver has been taken to hospital with serious injuries. He is believed to have serious injuries.
