LUKE the Nuke Littler is just three games away from clutching the title of the youngest world darts champion ever.

On Monday night he secured a hard-fought victory over Ryan Joyce, winning the match 4-3.

If he wins the title, at 17 the Warrington-based youngster will become the youngest darts champion in the world.
A modest Littler said: “Honestly, I don’t know how I did that. I said to Ryan there, he hit everything at me.”

He said he broke Ryan in the first set “and he hit me back.” He then broke him back at 2-2.
“I just wanted him to miss! I had a lot of chances at the double while Ryan wasn’t that close.” He added that he was “happy” to win.
Littler is now ranked fourth in the world and his victories in the Grand Slam of Darts, the Premier League and World Series Finals have been among the highlights of his stunning year in the sport.
He now advances to the last eight in the quarter-final match tomorrow on January 1. He faces Nathan Aspinall at around 8:40pm at Alexandra Palace in London.
