Sarah Hall MP has revealed Georgina, a Year 3 pupil from Broomfields Junior School in Appleton, as the winner of her 2024 Christmas card competition.

The winning design will feature on the Warrington South Member of Parliament’s official Christmas card, which will be sent to the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister, schools, churches, and other organisations across Warrington South.
During a special visit to Broomfields Junior School on Wednesday, Sarah awarded Georgina a certificate, her prize, and presented the official Christmas card featuring her design. Georgina’s artwork showcases Warrington’s iconic Golden Gates, surrounded by glittery Christmas trees and snowflakes.
The competition, launched by Sarah Hall MP in October, invited primary school children from across Warrington South to submit their creative designs. Hundreds of entries were received, reflecting the incredible talent and creativity of Warrington’s young and budding artists.
In addition to Georgina’s winning design, the card also features the artwork of two runners-up: Jerosh from Year 5 at St Alban’s Catholic Primary School in Bewsey, and Ellie from Year 2 at Evelyn Street Primary School near Sankey Bridges.
The winners will receive one of three special Christmas prizes, including family tickets to Gulliver’s World, a Warrington Wolves home game, or Woodlands Alpaca Farm.

Speaking about the competition, Sarah Hall MP said: “The creativity and talent shown by the children of Warrington South never ceases to amaze me. I am delighted to showcase their wonderful designs on my Christmas card and share the festive spirit with our communities here in Warrington and beyond.
“I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to all the children from across Warrington South who participated in my first annual Christmas card competition. The entries were fantastic, and choosing a winner from the hundreds of designs was incredibly challenging.
“However, Georgina’s design, featuring Warrington’s famous Golden Gates glistening amidst glittery Christmas trees and snowflakes, captured the spirit of the season perfectly.
“A special congratulations must also go to our two runners-up, Jerosh and Ellie, for their creativity and hard work.
“The three winning designs, which feature on the card, have earned the artists a special certificate and gift. I would also like to express my thanks to our prize sponsors: Gulliver’s World, Warrington Wolves, and Woodlands Alpaca Farm for their generosity.”
