SOUL fans were taken back in time to the 1970s as the Stylistics thrilled a sell-out crowd at Warrington Parr Hall.

The American Philadelphia soul group achieved their greatest chart success in the 1970s forming in 1968, with original members Herb Murrell, Airrion Love, now joined by Jason Sharp.

During the early 1970s, the group had twelve consecutive R&B top ten hits, including “Stop, Look, Listen”, “You Are Everything”, “Betcha by Golly, Wow”, “I’m Stone in Love with You”, “Break Up to Make Up” and “You Make Me Feel Brand New”, which all featured in the Parr Hall show.

It didn’t take much encouragement for the soul fans in the enthusiastic mainly female audience to find their dancing feet as the Parr hall once again delivedred a superb evening of nostalgia.
It’s hard to believe that the sprightly original members are now well into their 70s!
