CHRISTMAS is just around the corner and for some residents the lights are already up and the decorations out.
This house in Grappenhall is all lit up for the festive season.
Many residents don’t bring out their Yuletide decorations until the start of December – but for others, Christmas can’t come soon enough.
The display features a multi-coloured lights and traditional yellow Christmas lights bathing the trees in front of the house on a bitterly cold November night.
As the clocks changed and went back an hour at the end of last month, it now goes dark at sound 4 pm to 4:30 pm, meaning there’s more time to enjoy the early festive lights.
And Warrington town centre will be transformed into a winter wonderland this weekend with festive entertainment, markets and activities for all ages.
Christmas Markets will be dotted along Bridge Street, Horsemarket Street and Dolmans Lane, with 60 stalls selling an array of seasonal gifts, crafts and epicurean treats.
In Hatters Row, Santa’s Grotto will be open with residents advised to prebook to avoid disappointment.
A Drumming Spectacular and Festive Fire-lit Concert is also taking place. The Katumba Drummers are performing on Saturday in Time Square, followed by the Silk Street Jazz band.
