THREE people were taken to hospital following another collision on the A56 Chester Road near Walton, Warrington.
Shortly before 1pm two fire crews from Warrington and Widnes attended reports of a three-vehicle collision on Chester Road.
Firefighters assisted two casualties out of the vehicles and handed them over to the care of paramedics. The road was partially closed while emergency services attended at the scene.
Cheshire Police later said three people had been taken to hospital for observations and it is understood one person suffered serious injuries.
The incident comes just a week after a double fatality on Chester Road on November 10.
Local mother Jayne Green, 42, sadly died at the scene as did a 65-year-old man.
