A COUNCILLOR expressed disappointment after retrospective planning permission was granted for a listed building in the town.
Metal railings had been added to the row of terraced houses on Stanley Street, which are listed.
But this was without planning permission which led to the application for retrospective planning permission.
Warrington Borough Council’s Development Management Committee heard from Cllr Stuart Mann who questioned how the council has “got to this point with the building?”
“It’s a building we have an interest in.” The building which he added is “subsequently managed by a third party” has “put something up and is applying for retrospective planning permission.
“It doesn’t look very good at all and the due process is terrible.”
Retrospective planning permission was unanimously approved.
