SANTA Claus is coming to Warrington and children and their families are gearing up for the festive season.
One of the biggest and best grottos is at Walton Gardens where the Warrington Disability Partnership Santa will be in residence at the Old Riding Stables.
The Grotto opens on November 30 and takes place on weekend dates throughout December and is open on weekdays from Wednesday, December 18 to Monday, December 23 inclusive.
The Grotto has special sensory areas for children with disabilities – including quiet hour sessions for children who are neurodivergent on December 1, 15 and 22.
It’s also dementia friendly due to the nostalgic features aimed at grandparents who may be impacted. Tickets cost just £10 per child and booking is essential.
For theme park fans, families can enjoy a festive day of fun at Gulliver’s World in Callands on selected dates between November 16 and December 23.
There are festive rides and attractions, the North Pole Express and a winter wonderland attraction.
Tickets are available from £34.
New for this year is Santa’s Enchanted Elevator which sees children whisked straight to Father Christmas’s front door with sparkles and festive cheer.
Hatters Row shopping centre in Warrington is hosting a Grotto on November 23 and 24. Santa at the grotto is urging children to join his Elf Training Academy.
Children can design their own wrapping paper and mix up reindeer food for Rudolph and friends.
Meanwhile, Christmas at the Town Hall this year takes place between 11 am and 3:30 pm on November 30. Children can step behind the golden gates and meet Santa in his kitchen for a magical festive experience.
The event will feature a brass band and festive choir. Tickets cost £3.50 per child, which includes a small gift.
At Bents Garden Centre in Culcheth, Father Christmas will be visiting daily during the festive season from 12pm to 4pm.
