VIDEO: A new garden rooftop bar is set to open at The Grand Cocktail Bar on Bridge Street, Warrington.
It is the latest addition to the Warrington nighttime economy and includes bar furniture from the Savoy in London and a retractable roof which cost tens of thousands of pounds to install.
The skyline bar is the latest edition to the premises developed by Mike Mason, who owns PJs, The Institution and Hop & Co and James Glover who has the Hideout and Block One, who teamed up on the joint venture more than three years ago, investing an initial £250,000 into the renovation of the building.

The retractable roof
The former Co-op building next door to The Academy had been empty and falling into disrepair since the closure of the Fusion Sports Bar and nightclub.
But under the direction of Mike and James The Grand has gone from strength to strength as a popular nighttime destination but is also open during the day offering afternoon teas as well as a wide variety of cocktails.
The Garden Room has been kitted out to suit all weathers, with its retractable roof for hot sunny days and lo fires and coal-burning tables for chilly winter nights – so rain or shine it guarantees a grand night out!
Warrington Worldwide was given an exclusive look inside the development ahead of the proposed opening in November.
