VIDEO: The finishing touches are being put to Warrington’s newest cocktail bar – The Grand, ahead of the opening night next Saturday.

Warrington-Worldwide was given an exclusive pre-opening night video tour of the upmarket cocktail bar on Bridge Street by manager David Lomas, ahead of the opening night, following a major investment in the building by two local bar owners.

Mike Mason, who owns PJs, The Institution and Hop & Co and James Glover who has the Hideout and Block One, have teamed up on the joint venture and have invested an initial £250,000 into the renovation of The Grand.
Phase one, the Cocktail bar is due to open next Saturday, with a pre-night opening event for family and friends taking place tonight, Saturday.
The former Co-op building next door to The Academy had been empty and falling into disrepair since the closure of the Fusion Sports Bar and nightclub.
Situated on Lower Bridge Street it is one of a number of ventures taking place aimed at improving the image of the town centre.
Phase one of the 80-seater The Grand is now almost complete and ready to open.
Phase two will be a restaurant on the first floor, while phase three will be a rooftop terrace.
The impressive lighting feature which takes centre place of the bar, is rumoured to have once hung in the Savoy in London.
Meanwhile, huge beer tanks have been installed in the ceiling which will have beer, directly imported from the Czech Republic, on tap.

Work progressing well at The Grand as huge beer tanks installed in the roof!
