STAFF and residents at Barchester’s Cheshire Grange Care Home in Lymm have also enjoyed regular visits from therapy dogs and benefited from the companionship and cuddles of the dogs.
Imagine the reaction when a recent pet therapy session was organised and Beau, Boo & Ted, three of the most adorable alpacas from Woodlands Alpaca Farm, Thelwall were on the patio waiting to say hello!.
General Manager Dawn Holsgrove-Smith said: “Our residents have really enjoyed their unusual visitors today. We knew that having the farm here would be a bit of fun for all our residents, especially as some find it difficult to go on many outings in our minibus. We are always looking for new activities for the residents and today we have seen the seen the enjoyment and the therapeutic influence animals can have on people.”
Resident Olive Boardman was very excited by the Woodland Alpaca Farm’s animals: “I can’t believe I’ve been able to get so close to such beautiful animals, it’s wonderful.”
