AFTER months of planning two community champion groups are staging special events at Fairfield & Howley and Latchford this coming weekend thanks to a seed fund from Culture Warrington supporting Central 6 wards.
The Fairfield and Howley group have organised a flag festival on Sunday, September 8 at the Old School to help combat flytipping and litter to bring the community together at a free event.
There are two categories and organisations and individuals have until Friday to submit their entries for judging on the day.
Creative activities include face painting a treasure hunt and lots of flags!
Meanwhile, at Latchford, there will be a fun day at Westy Community Centre on Saturday (September 7) bringing together many local organisations/ groups and businesses.
The event will include art, music, dancing, tombola, craft stalls, face painting and much more!
