Multi-vehicle collision caused lengthy delays on M62 near Birchwood

THERE were lengthy delays on the M62 near Birchwood this morning following a multi-vehicle collision.

One lane was closed to allow recovery and delays were experienced between junction 10 M6 J21A (Croft Interchange) to junction 11 A574 Birchwood Way (Birchwood).

Cheshire Police were not in attendance and no one was seriously injured.

At one point there were six miles of congestion and delays to journey times of around 50 minutes.
All lanes are now re-opened.

All lanes are now OPEN on the #M62 eastbound between J10 #M6 and J11 #Birchwood following a multi vehicle collision.

Please allow extra time if travelling in the area as delays of 30 mins and approx. 5 miles of congestion remain.
