Appeal for more local volunteers hits the small screen

A NEW campaign has been launched for more local people to join a team of volunteers bringing hope, support and kindness to those needing a helping hand across Warrington.

Spearheading the appeal by Warrington Voluntary Action is a specially produced video which showcases four volunteers and the personal satisfaction they gain by helping others.
They highlight the rewards of donating as little as a couple of hours each week to help out members of the wider community, from young to older people. They all ‘feel a warm glow inside’ and say they feel good about making a big difference.
Warrington Voluntary Action’s Operations Lead, Jordan Johnson, revealed: “Warrington is a vibrant and growing town and volunteers provide a wide range of support to a diverse mix of people.  We’re proud to support organisations to do what they do.”

She continued: “The aim of the video is to promote and encourage people to try volunteering by highlighting the different ways they might want to get involved in their local community.
“There are lots of opportunities to volunteer in Warrington and our website currently has over 100 different options for people to get involved with. They can find out more by visiting: https://volunteering.warringtonva.org.uk/index-classic .”
Jordan added: “If you’re looking to volunteer in Warrington or looking for volunteers in the town, get in touch and we can discuss your options.”
