Circus Starr prepare to make a difference for disadvantaged children

INCLUSIVE Cirus Starr will be helping make a difference for children in the Warrington area on Saturday, June 8.

Circus Starr make a difference with an accessible and relaxed event that is inspired by the circus and provides a highlight for the children who deserve a little magic, whether that is because they are disabled, disadvantaged, or because they have additional learning needs.

The inclusive shows create an environment where children are able to come along, have fun, and forget about their worries. A place where families can be themselves and make wonderful memories together.
It’s only possible for us to hold our unique events because of the donations that they receive from local businesses.

One of those is Warrington-based X-Press Legal Services which is continuing its support of Circus Starr. The firm has supported Circus Starr – a North-West based not-for profit social enterprise- for over 15 years, donating over £5,000 and bringing joy to children across the country.

Cirus Starr help children like Abi. She has epilepsy, ADHD and Autism, which her Mum says can often make attending events challenging.

Circus Starr fundraiser Sophie said: “We’re pleased to say that our show was the perfect place for Abi and her Mum, Jo, to forget about their worries and have fun!
“We had to keep her in her seat with lots of popcorn so that she would give the show a try, and once engaged, she loved it!
“It was very inclusive and the fact that it was relaxed performance meant we could relax a bit too as everyone in the audience would totally understand any child’s behaviour without judgement.
“It was something positive for us to get excited about that was designed to put less stress on us, and a great opportunity for our daughter to have a great evening out with us.”

This year’s event will be taking place on Saturday, 8th June, 2024, at Birchwood Community School, Brock Road, Birchwood, Warrington, WA3 7PT.
