Drug driver arrested after driving electric bike at speed on pavement

A drug driver was arrested after riding an electric bike on a pavement in Warrington town centre at the weekend causing danger to the public.

The male was for driving under the influence of Cannabis and driving without Insurance. He was on an Electric Bike, riding on public footpaths causing danger not only to himself, but members of the public.

Despite the speed he was going, the bike was near silent, putting the public at considerable risk of stepping out in its path and being seriously hurt or worse. The bike was seized and is to be destroyed.
