WARRINGTON & Vale Royal College has a new addition to its line-up of Performing Arts courses: The University of the Arts London (UAL) Level 4 Diploma in Performance.

Students will be immersed in a dynamic programme designed to provide a comprehensive foundation in various aspects of performing arts including musical theatre, contemporary and classical acting, and devised performance.
Throughout the duration of the course, students will experience a holistic approach to performing arts education, fostering collaboration with industry experts and nurturing their creative talents. This involves participating in not one but four live performance projects in front of an audience, providing students with plenty of opportunity to continuously hone their craft and develop their skills.
Alongside practical training, students will also explore several theoretical aspects such as the history of performing arts compared to modern practices, analysing their individual progress and development, and understanding the cultural and social significance of various art forms.
Students choosing to study this course at Warrington & Vale Royal College will benefit from learning in its Advanced Creative & Digital Skills (ACDS) Academy, equipped with a newly-refurbished 162 seat theatre, two bespoke studios for singing, acting, and dancing, as well as a TV studio kitted-out with the latest technology. They’ll also be guided by a faculty of seasoned professionals who have a wealth of knowledge, gained from years of first-hand industry experience, to share.
Furthermore, students will get to enjoy a range of guest lectures, bespoke workshops and collaborative projects with close employer partners of the ACDS Academy, including local organisation Culture Warrington and the more nationally recognised Liverpool Empire Theatre. These enriched experiences contribute to making students rounded and polished professionals ready to embark on their exciting careers.
Upon completion of the course, students will be equipped with a versatile skillset, opening doors to diverse career pathways in theatre, film, television, voice acting, directing, or even producing. Previous UAL Level 4 Diploma in Performance students have progressed to successful careers with the likes of Disney, Sky TV and on London’s West End!
