Tuesday 6th February 2024 marks the fourth and final Open Evening for the college, which is Warrington’s leading provider of technical education and skills training, offering the largest range of BTEC routes for young people in the town. This informative event will bring a close to a record-breaking period for the number of visitors registering their interest in the college’s excellent educational offer. Since October, thousands of Year 11 students, their families and friends have been immersed in the college’s exceptional facilities, learning about a diverse range of T Levels, technical courses, and apprenticeships that open doors to promising career paths.
Prospective adult students will also be welcome on Tuesday 6th February, where the college’s extensive range of part-time, professional and higher education courses will be showcased. Still enrolling for hundreds of adult courses with start dates over the next few weeks, in addition to processing applications for undergraduate courses starting this September, a dedicated team will also be on hand to discuss the various funding options and financial support available, ensuring that student’s educational aspirations align with their financial goals. If you are leaving college or sixth form this year and are interested in studying a low-cost undergraduate course close to home, then this event is not to be missed.

Located just outside the town’s centre, the college’s Warrington campus serves as the backdrop for these popular Open Evening events. Having recently been transformed with over £12 million in investment, attendees have the opportunity to explore state-of-the-art facilities, as well as engaging in insightful conversations with expert tutors about courses and career prospects after college. Committed to being a first-class technical college, in recent years, the college has launched several prestigious centres of excellence, which now operate as specialist training hubs for students and employers across the region. With its fifth centre set to launch later this year, the college will have bespoke Academies in all of the following areas: Advanced Manufacturing & Engineering, Advanced Creative & Digital Skills, Health & Social Care and Construction & Civil Engineering.
Last September, the college saw waiting lists for over half of its school leaver courses, with this year’s applications indicating a similar trend. Year 11 pupils are encouraged to apply as soon as possible to avoid disappointment and will have the opportunity to do so with the support of the college’s friendly Admissions Team at the Open Evening. The college also accepts online applications through their website and innovative digital prospectus, and paper applications that can be collected from their onsite Learner Services or requested through the post.
