Two fire crews tackle tumble dryer fire

FIREFIGHTERS wearing breathing apparatus tackled a tumble dryer fire at a property in Grappenhall, Warrington.

At 13:55, yesterday, Tuesday, crews from Warrington and Birchwood were called out to a property on Clarence Road, Grappenhall to a kitchen fire reported to have been caused by a tumble dryer.

Crews wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to put out the fire and a high-pressure fan to clear the smoke.
There were no reports of any injuries.
