Moped rider issued with police warning after riding in anti-social manner

POLICE have issued a moped rider with a warning following reports of riding in an anti-social manner in the Appleton area of Warrington.

Yesterday evening, officers at Stockton Heath received reports of a moped being ridden in an anti-social manner on Greenfields Avenue, Appleton.

Local PCSOs attended, located the said bike and rider and issued a S59 warning notice.

This warning lasts for 12 months and gives police the power to seize the vehicle if it is witnessed being ridden in an anti-social manner in that period.
