All lanes re-opened on M62 following collision involving overturned van

TWO of four lanes of the M62 eastbound at Birchwood were closed this morning following a collision involving an overturned van.

Emergency services including police and ambulance attended at the scene between Junction 11 Birchwood & Junction 12 Eccles with three miles of congestion at the time of the closure.

All lanes have since re-opened.

#M62 EB between J11 & J12 there are currently 3 lanes out of 4 closed due to an overturned vehicle. Ourselves and ambulance are attending and lane 1 has a red X over it from J11 to allow emergency services access to the scene. pic.twitter.com/2cAavFU6Lu

2 lanes (of 4) are closed on the #M62 eastbound between J11 #Warrington and J12 (#M60) following a collision.

There is approx. 3 miles of congestion approaching the closure which is adding about half an hour to normal journey times pic.twitter.com/LdHjER7Pqa
