Teenage Prop Lucas Green looks forward to the season ahead after rapid rise through the ranks

VIDEO: WARRINGTON Wolves’ teenage Prop Lucas Green is looking forward to the start of the new season after a rapid rise through the ranks three years on from joining the club and making Warrington his home.

Starting last season with the Academy and looking forward to a tour down under, Green was soon given his first team chance by former Wolves’ Head Coach Daryl Powell, for which the youngster who turned 19 in September will be forever grateful.

Now under the watchful eye of new head coach Sam Burgess, Green has the number 25 shirt, as a full member of the first-team squad.

Last season Green was sponsored, by Warrington-Worldwide, with the sponsorship set to continue for the season ahead.

While disappointed on missing the Academy tour through injury, Green is now looking forward to the season ahead and despite his Yorkshire origins is now definitely a Wire – and has the barbed Wire logo on his shirt to prove it!

Check out an exclusive interview on his thoughts on the season ahead and his rapid rise through the ranks.

@garyskent Great to catch up with Lucas Green at @Warrington Wolves who has come a long way in a short space of time since #Warringtonworldwide sponsored him in the #Warrington Wolves Supporters Trust & Squadbuilder Academy last season – a rising star of the future and delighted to be sponsoring him again as part of the first team squad – well done young man! #rugbyleague #warringtonwolves #rugby #lucasgreen ♬ original sound – GarySkent
