Pendergast’s – more than just a steakhouse!

0

THE recently opened Pendergast’s is another welcome addition to the dining offer in Warrington town centre – and is certainly much more than just a steakhouse, with vegan and gluten-free offerings!

For my recent visit, I decided to go for the lunchtime special – which includes a starter, main and house drink for just £20 per head, or an extra £5 if you go for the mouthwatering Steak Frites (usually £18.95pp) – a flattened 6oz rump steak French fries & garlic butter.

It’s one of several new events and offers at Pendergast’s Warrington which offers the ideal venue to drop in after shopping or ahead of a night out on the town or a visit to a show at the nearby Parr Hall. The atmosphere is relaxed and chilled and a great place to recharge your batteries after a hectic shopping trip in the run-up to Christmas.
These include:

•£35 Bottomless Brunch with free-flowing beers, prosecco, cocktails and soft drinks (every Saturday)
•Steak frites for two and a bottle of house wine just £50
•Sunday Roasts with live music on the last Sunday of every month
•Christmas and NYE bookings now being taken

The chilli butter chicken delivers a kick!

During my visit, I was recommended the sticky chilli buttermilk chicken, which certainly delivered a tasty kick followed by the Gluten-free Pendergast’s Classic bacon double cheeseburger with fries served with house slaw, which proved to be plentiful and filling, washed down by a pint of Estrella.

The Cairo Street venue situated in the all-new Hive development, is already receiving rave reviews from customers who love the relaxed vibe, decadent interiors and quality dining options at affordable prices.
“We’ve had amazing feedback,” says Laura Harvey, one of the business brains behind the Pendergast’s concept, who was keen to bring a feminine side to the traditional steak house image.
“Of course, people are loving our steaks, but they’re often surprised that we offer a wide selection of mouth-watering small plates and lighter dining options for those who don’t want a huge meal. We’re not like other steakhouses, lunch with us doesn’t have to be an expensive occasion. Lots of our regular customers come in for coffee and a few of our small plates – whether that’s for a lunch date or a daytime business meeting.”

A relaxing atmosphere

Pendergast’s is also becoming a magnet for the local business community, who are finding it’s a fabulous setting for business meetings, lunches and (with an eye on the festive season), the perfect place to hold the annual Christmas party.
Jackie Emson of Warrington Business Exchange recently held a networking event at the restaurant and was massively impressed, she said: “The Warrington Business Exchange recently held their ladies’ lunch at Pendergast’s. The venue is fabulous, and our members were really impressed. We had a choice of small plates for lunch and each and every dish was delicious, served by the most attentive staff. Great choice of dishes too. We will be back soon!”
Bookings are now being taken for Christmas and New Year’s Eve. Ticketed options will be released this week, with food and unlimited drinks available. Keep an eye on the Pendergast’s website and social channels for more information: https://www.pendergasts.co.uk
