WARRINGTON Town will get chance to put right their biggest home defeat in six years after being drawn with Curzon Ashton in the FA Cup.

The Tameside club humbled the Yellows 4-1 on Bank Holiday Monday, with former favourite Stefan Mols having a hand in three of the goals.

Mark Beesley’s side will now have an opportunity for revenge in the second qualifying round of the FA Cup, which will take place on Saturday September 16.

It was a much-needed home draw for the Yellows, who head for a lengthy trip for the third successive Saturday this weekend when they travel to Banbury United in National League North.

Before that, they will look to curb a run of three straight defeats at home to Spennymoor Town on Tuesday night.

Meanwhile, Northern Premier League side Warrington Rylands have been drawn away at league rivals FC United.

James Baillie scored the only goal as Rylands defeated Stockton Town 1-0 in the first qualifying round at the weekend.
