Creamfields security staff member rushed to hospital by air ambulance after suffering serious injury

A security staff member working at Creamfields was rushed to hospital after being seriously injured while work was ongoing clearing the site on Bank Holiday Monday.

An investigation is now ongoing following the incident shorlty befor 5pm.

A spoksperson for Cheshire Police confimred: “At 4.50pm on Monday, August 28, a member of security staff at Creamfields was injured while clearing the site.
“Police and the local authority are investigating the circumstances of the accident.
“The casualty remains in a serious condition in hospital.”
Halton Borough Council’s environmental health department is now investigating the workplace health and safety aspects of this incident alongside the investigation by Cheshire Police.

A sold out crowd of 70,000 attended the four day event over the Bank Holiday event, with much of the site left in muddy conditions after heavy rain.
