Rowers brave the elements at St Rocco’s Hospice’s Dragon Boat Race

A total of sixteen teams braved the elements at the annual St Rocco’s Hospice Dragon Boat Race, helping raise thousands of pounds for the Warrington-based charity.

With almost constant rain throughout the day, no one had a chance of staying dry at the event which took place at Warrington Rowing Club on the River Mersey.

The final was very, very close with last year’s winners Bikers Rowers taking third, while second place went to Halliwell Jones BMW.

Winners were Zachary Daniels, with Mayor of Warrington Cllr. Steve Wright on hand to present the medals.

The 16 teams who took part in the St Rocco’s Hospice 2023 Dragon Boat Race were: And.Digital, Foden Estates, Ameritz Music, B-engineering Group, Christeyns Food Hygiene, Zachary Daniels, H&M Distribution, Torus, GXO Logistics, LMS, Halliwell Jones BMW, The Lymm Dragons, The Biker Rowers, Amandas Marauders and The Royce Dragons.
